Bristol Alexander Technique Consultancy (BATC)

BATC exists to provide professional Alexander Technique services to the public and to private organisations, from individual lessons and small classes to residential workshops. Teaching members are fully certified, fully insured and work according to a code of professional conduct.


Private lessons

Like all ITM trained teachers, we are able to offer
lessons in different formats:

One-to-one lessons

Individual sessions last for 30 to 40 minutes
and are charged at £30.00. A free introductory
lesson is available if you are quite interested
but are not yet sure whether this work or this
approach is what you are looking for. (please note
there is a £10 charge for introductory lessons at
Bath Natural Health Clinic)

Couples

These sessions can last up to 50 minutes and
are charged at £19.00 per person

Larger groups

Group sessions can last 70 or 80 minutes,
depending on the size of the group, and are
charged at £16.00 per person

Introductory talks/demonstrations

Approximately a two hour introduction to the work
including demonstration lessons and questions and
answers.

The perfect taster session for schools, colleges,
or any interested group. Fee negotiable.

Workshops

Evening, half-day or day workshops

For larger groups/organisations, professional
development days etc. Possibly involving more
than one teacher.

Weekend workshops

For larger organisations involving a team
of teachers working in rotation.
